Start Date: Aug 26

Cost: $850

Games: 15, on Sat/Sun (through 3-game shootouts)

Practices: 2 per week in Oak Park

Travel Program Overview

The primary coaching focus for a Level UP travel team is developing basketball players, not just winning games.  Please do not expect to see our team play a zone defense simply because it may help us win a game.  Basketball is a complicated game that takes years to master, and I hope to help lay a foundation for the players so they can continue to play in high school and beyond.  Players can expect to earn their playing time by showing up to every practice, being a good teammate, being coachable, and working hard.  Players will learn a conceptual offense where they are making reads and playing off them.  They will also play a tough man to man defense so they can learn how to compete.

Giving Back

I’ve made it a point to use basketball to do some good for society.  As a team, I’d like to have the players and families come up with an event or a cause in the community that we can volunteer our time towards.  This should be a great way for us to bond as a program and serve as a life lesson for the kids!
