The 2020 - 2021 Winter Season is still in question as we navigate the pandemic safely. Currently, in the state of Illinois, many tournaments are back up and running - but most school's and park districts are not renting out gym space for practices. At this time, I'm in constant contact with various practice locations, and if something does become available that allows all of us to practive safely, we will proceed with a team. Why do you only have 1 team?As an organization, Level UP feels that it would rather provide high-quality coaching to the kids rather than just forming a team for the sake of having it. With that philosophy, comes the reality that these type of coaches are in fact hard to come by. This season, we were only able to properly staff the 7th grade team. We continue to search for new, experienced coaches and hope for more teams next season.
What is the cost if I make the team?The team fee is $700 per player plus the cost of the uniform (if needed). This includes about 25-30 games along with two practices per week from October - March. Uniforms typically run $60-75 and includes shorts, jersey and long sleeve warmup shirt.
If I'm offered a spot on the team, how long do I have to decide?"We realize that you have many choices when selecting which program to align with. We want to make sure the program you select is the right choice and a good fit for you. However, we don't believe it's fair to take an extended perior of time to decide, because that is time that we are not getting back to the next player up for that spot. With that in mind, we ask that you make your decision within 48 hours of the invitation. In order to do that, I kindly ask that you reach out to Matt Forzley ahead of time to ask any and all questions you have about the program. This way, when your invitation does come, you will be armed with the knowledge you need to make an informed decision.
